Ureteric Stones

These stones develop in the ureters, the tubes that carry urine from the kidneys to the bladder. Ureteric stones typically originate as kidney stones that have moved down into the ureters. They can cause intense pain known as renal colic, often radiating to the lower abdomen and groin. Blockage of urine flow and potential kidney damage are serious concerns with ureteric stones.
